The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) is one of the top paramilitary agencies in the country. It is responsible for the regulation and monitoring of the movement of people in and out of Nigeria. Nigeria Immigration Salary Structure (2025)

The salary structure in 2025 is expected to reflect the newly approved ₦70,000 minimum wage. Although exact figures may vary slightly by location and posting, the following gives a general idea:

  • Immigration Assistant (lowest rank) earns about ₦70,000–₦90,000 monthly.
  • Assistant Inspectors can earn between ₦90,000–₦110,000.
  • Assistant Superintendent of Immigration (ASI) earns about ₦120,000–₦150,000 monthly.
  • Superintendent ranks earn between ₦160,000 to ₦250,000 monthly.
  • Comptrollers and above earn from ₦300,000 upwards, with the Comptroller General earning ₦500,000 or more monthly.
